About JHBX
JHBX — Johannesburg X, the Johannesburg Exchange — is a multi-vendor digital marketplace for merchants trading in and around the city: the CBD, Fordsburg, Mayfair, Bruma, Randburg and beyond. The interface stays quiet on purpose so the marketplace itself can be busy.
What JHBX does
JHBX lists products from independent Johannesburg merchants, handles the customer experience, splits each cart into merchant orders, and coordinates the commercial side of the transaction: confirmation, commission, settlement, returns and disputes.
JHBX and Mazibisa Logistics
JHBX does not move parcels. Collection from merchants and delivery to customers is performed by Mazibisa Logistics, a separate operation. JHBX sends fulfilment requests and displays the status returned. Keeping the two apart means the marketplace and the delivery network can each be held to their own standards.
For merchants
Merchants can run their own storefront, or be onboarded with JHBX assistance where listings and photography are handled for them. Every merchant keeps their own catalogue, stock and order queue.
Terms, privacy and policies
Trading terms, privacy notice, returns policy and merchant agreement are published as they are finalised with counsel. Until then, the operating rules described across this site and the help pages apply.
